Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with PingWatchdog. This policy explains when and how refunds are issued.
1. Free Plan
The Free plan costs nothing. No payment is required, and no refund applies.
2. Paid Plans — General Policy
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance. You may cancel at any time — your Service continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not issue prorated refunds for unused time in a billing period after cancellation, except as described below.
3. 14-Day Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase under EU Directive 2011/83/EU.
Important exception for digital services: By purchasing a paid plan, you explicitly request immediate access to the Service. The Service begins as soon as your payment is processed (your monitors start running, alerts are enabled, etc.). Under EU law, you lose your right of withdrawal once the digital service has fully commenced with your prior express consent and acknowledgment that you lose the withdrawal right upon commencement.
If you have not used the Service (no monitors created, no checks performed) and request a refund within 14 days of purchase, we will issue a full refund.
4. Service Disruption Refunds
If PingWatchdog experiences a service outage lasting more than 24 consecutive hours that materially affects your monitoring, you may request a credit for the affected period. Credits are applied to your next billing cycle and are proportional to the downtime.
This does not apply to outages caused by factors outside our control (see Section 6).
5. How to Request a Refund
Email support@pingwatchdog.com with:
- Your account email address
- The reason for your refund request
- Any relevant details (order ID, dates, etc.)
We review requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10 business days.
6. What We Don't Refund
We do not issue refunds for:
- Dissatisfaction with features that were clearly described before purchase
- Downtime of your monitored endpoints (PingWatchdog monitors — it does not prevent downtime)
- Failure to cancel before a renewal date
- Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Service
- Issues caused by your own infrastructure, configuration, or third-party services
7. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your payment provider without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend your account until the dispute is resolved. In most cases, contacting us directly results in a faster resolution.
